MORIS design: O2 TRAINING CENTRE

About project: The unique training centre for O2 employees has undergone a complete modernisation, during which we have implemented the space according to the design of the architectural studio room411.architects, including the production of atypical interior elements designed by them. The concept provides new spaces for education and training, incorporating the use of audiovisual technologies. This is facilitated by sound insulation cubicles for playing clean audio recordings, with sound-proof foam partitions limiting surrounding noise.

Right at the entrance, visitors are welcomed with a stylish illuminated O2 LED logo. The corridor is then lined with metal structures for positioning posters. These can be easily affixed and replaced as needed using copper clips. Thus, the client can adapt the appearance of the space according to its current needs. We have equipped the training room with a board featuring two sliding sections – a magnetic board and a board for the use of pins. The main area of the board features a whiteboard which can be written on using markers. Thus speakers can make full use of the flexible nature of this feature.

Our new concept also involves an expansion of shared areas. The new kitchenette makes better use of the entire room, thus providing employees with more space for refreshment. The light-coloured kitchen island worktop and the light colour of the kitchen provide clever contrast to the dark cupboards and island base. This contrast highlights the overall modern nature of the room. We have reupholstered the original corner sofa using strong fabric, rejuvenating the entire seating area.

The industrial design is complemented by metal ceilings and minimalist shelving featuring flowerpot holders. We have set green plants within these black and grey metal elements, providing a natural brightness to the room. The ceiling also features acoustic panels, soundproofing the room. All these elements thus come together to create an inspiring and convivial space for the further development and training of employees.
